History
The name SLYRS is Gaelic and has Iro-Scottish roots. But SLYRS is Bavarian through and through. Because in the year 779 five monks from Ireland and Scotland founded a monastery in the Bavarian wasteland of Schliersee. Adalung, Hiltupalt, Kerpalt, Antonius and Otakir name this monastery SLYRS, correctly pronounced SCHLIERS.

Great Whisky, especially for Whisky- and Slyrs beginners, as it gives a good insight into the Whisky-World of Slyrs!

I largely agree with the smell. Very intense and complex is definitely true. The apricot irritates me a bit in the description, I wouldn't have thought of that now, but it's just not really citrusy and that's right in the direction of fruit. Only the description of the taste is not correct at all. Marzipan, you can chase me with that, I don't like it at all, unless it's really, absolutely high-quality marzipan, which isn't available in the supermarket anyway and where the confectioner says beforehand that it's not typical marzipan and that's where I was sometimes a confectioner convinces and what they mean is probably the nutty in very, very good marzipan, which you can hardly buy normally. As I said, with normal store-bought marzipan, I escape and spit it out. And this whiskey has an excellent taste and smell, even though I spontaneously bought the bottle with the number G 31739 at the gas station.
