SLYRS founder Florian Stetter conceived the vision of an Upper Bavarian whisky during a study trip to Scotland. In the heart of the Bavarian Alps, he brought it to life: with great attention to detail, the finest Bavarian ingredients and a gentle production process, the SLYRS Whisky Distillery in Neuhaus am Schliersee now produces a fruity, malty original: the SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky.

Mountains on the doorstep, an idea in his mind: SLYRS Whisky, which
breathes the mountain air of the Upper Bavarian Alps and matures there to perfection.
In 2014, SLYRS Master Distiller Hans Kemenater put this
project into reality with his team. Using the ski lift,
they transported around 50 specially selected whisky casks to an altitude of 1,501 metres,
to the summit of the Stümpfling mountain.
This is where the unique SLYRS high-altitude store is located. The SLYRS Mountain Edition
matures there for 5 years until it reaches perfection. Pure mountain air and
extreme temperature fluctuations of up to 60 degrees characterise this special
storage location and are reflected in this exquisite SLYRS whisky through a clear,
intense flavour profile and exceptional spiciness.
