SLYRS Zugspitz Edition – matured at Germany’s highest point
This exceptional single malt whisky is based on the same original distillate as our SLYRS Classic, yet develops its very own character on the Zugspitze. Traditionally distilled in 2020, it was initially matured for five years in hand-selected American white oak casks, before being transferred in November 2024 to an altitude of 2,962 metres on the Zugspitze, where it was further matured in three exclusive cask variants: Amarone, Marsala and Pineau des Charentes Rouge. The high altitude, the crisp mountain air and the unique climate make this edition one of the highest and most extraordinary whisky bottlings in Germany.
Unlike the SLYRS Mountain Edition, this whisky does not develop a smoky beechwood character, but instead captivates with delicate, fruity notes and an elegant, multi-layered bouquet. Strictly limited to 692 bottles – a true collector’s item for connoisseurs.
